Many have chosen to enjoy the country events that are periodically held at Graves Mountain Lodge and use Sun Dancer Lodge or Spirit Dancer Lodge for their accommodations.
This beautiful mountain setting is also an ideal location for a wedding and reception. Graves Mountain Lodge offers versatility and flexibility in the planning of your wedding. During the warmer months, you may choose to have your wedding ceremony outside and the reception in one of their outdoor pavilions; or during the winter months, arrange to have your wedding ceremony and reception indoors with the warm glow of their fireplaces. Your wedding reception can be a casual afternoon social or an elaborate evening of dining and dancing. You can make the reception as formal or as informal as you like.
Many wedding couples choose Graves’ Mountain Lodge simply for the ease of having their wedding and reception plus guests’ accommodations all in one convenient location. On many occasions Graves Mountain Lodge has been selected as the location for the wedding and the reception with the wedding guests staying in the motel rooms and the bridal party and immediate family retiring to either Sun Dancer Lodge or Spirit Dancer Lodge a short distance away. In some cases both Lodges have been used as they are in close proximity to each other.
Graves’ Mountain Lodge can help you arrange a wedding reception that complements your ceremony. You can choose to hold the reception for a minimum of 75 guests in one of their outdoor pavilions located alongside the Rose River. The Sycamore pavilion can seat up to 400 guests, and the Chimney Rock pavilion is ideal for an intimate party of 150 or less. Either pavilion can be used for formal and informal dinners. If you expect to have 75 or less guests at your wedding and would prefer holding the reception indoors, you can consult the Events Coordinator for availability of banquet rooms. Meals are served either family-style or buffet-style.
