You have to see it to fully appreciate it. You’ll be amazed. She is going to hit the big time soon so don’t miss a great opportunity.
Ducard Vineyards is a boutique winery in gorgeous mountainside setting very near The Lodges. Limited quantity, estate grown wines in a relaxed, fun and intimate environment. Tasting room features deck with great views of mountains, streams and vineyards. Their 2010 Viognier recently represented the State of Virginia in a blind tasting challenge versus a top French wine producer ($80 per bottle) and was judged a dead heat tie by a panel of international wine judges! Visit the old-time Little Country Store located just minutes from The Lodges. Groceries, deli, beverages, locally raised Rider’s Backfield Farm Beef. Hershey’s hand dipped ice cream. Fresh cut lunch meats, cheese and slab bacon. Homemade pork BBQ sandwiches served daily.
The Sharp Rock Vineyards resides in a 220 year old family farm located on the beautiful Hughes River in an unspoiled valley at the foot of Old Rag Mountain near The Lodges. They craft twelve award-winning wines produced in limited quantities from handpicked grapes grown in their vineyards. Renovated 100 year old barn tasting room.
Near The Lodges, nestled deep in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains , Graves Mountain Lodge offers horseback riding, swimming and some good old-fashioned porch sitting. Dinners are served family style.

This is a Mennonite country store with a cozy down home atmosphere with country goodies. Yoder’s Country Market has been operated as a family business since 1985 and has freshly baked pies and breads, soups and salads, and over 75 different meats and cheeses.
