The Sun Dancer Lodge is an elegant, country escape overlooking the Shenandoah Valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, just off Route 231, one of America’s ten most outstanding scenic byways (great for biking). Our 60 private acres backs up to the Shenandoah National Park and Old Rag Mountain, which offers many scenic hiking trails plus we have our own private hiking trails. After hiking, converse around our firepit and enjoy the quiet serenity of the country.

View the wildlife or the spectacular star-studded sky. Watch the moon rise or take a drive on Skyline Drive. We have a stocked pond for catch & release & there’s trout fishing close by. Pop some popcorn in our theater sized electric popper and watch your favorite movie on our 62′ HDTV screen.

There’s a 52″ HDTV upstairs. Take along your choice drink from the downstairs bar and play a game of shuffleboard on our 9′ table or go up to Cocktail Hill to enjoy the sunset. Don’t forget the cheese and crackers to put on the picnic table inside the pergola. Visit the many wineries, Luray Caverns, historic Monticello and Montpelier, University of Virginia in Charlottesville, civil war sites, golf, horseback ride, antique shops, art galleries. Ski at Massanutten, or enjoy their go carts, golf, bowling, or huge water park. Satellite internet available with wireless WiFi.

A massage therapist will come to Sun Dancer Lodge for your spa needs. There are many scheduled events, festivals, and activities throughout the year. There is world class (Inn of Little Washington) to down home restaurants within easy driving distance. The lodge is ideal for family gatherings, corporate retreats, reunions, birthdays, girls/guys weekends, theme weekends such as cooking, painting, photography, birding nature and much more.
